R&D and innovation
We start from a real problem, not a research topic
Loss of thermal stability. Adhesion that fails in service. Corrosion where nobody expected it. Our research begins with something that is already costing an industrial company money, and ends with something that can be manufactured.
Discuss a project Current linesWhere we are working
Three lines open, all of them born from a customer problem rather than from a literature review.
Advanced coatings
Coatings that improve thermal stability and heat distribution, resist corrosion and hold adhesion under service conditions. From laboratory formulation to industrial trial, with the characterisation running alongside rather than afterwards.
Thermal stability · corrosion · adhesionEmbedded sensors
Instrumenting the material itself, so a part reports its own condition instead of waiting for a scheduled inspection. The most exploratory of our lines, and the one with the longest horizon.
Condition monitoring · predictive maintenanceAdhesive joints under real conditions
How a bonded joint behaves after five years, not on the day it was made. Accelerated ageing, correlation with service data, and the test methods that make the result usable in a certification file.

You own the result
We run the project, you keep the intellectual property. Scope, milestones and deliverables agreed before we start, with the laboratory work costed inside rather than invoiced as a surprise.
- Defined milestones, each with something you can use
- Characterisation included, not subcontracted
- Industrial trial as the closing milestone, where it makes sense
Universities and research centres
We work closely with universities and research centres, which gives us access to techniques and expertise beyond our own walls. When a case needs equipment we do not have, we say so and we bring it in.
- Access to specialised techniques such as XRD
- Joint projects and public funding programmes
- We keep the interpretation and the single point of contact
Do you have a problem nobody has solved?
Those are the interesting ones. Tell us what is failing and under what conditions, and we will tell you whether it is a research project or something far simpler.
