Most enquiries are one of these two. They need different answers, so we have written them out separately rather than making you guess which half of the page applies to you.

A standard has landed on your desk

Your customer has started asking for EN 17460 or EN ISO 21368, the rail sector has moved on from DIN 6701, and nobody in the plant has done this before. The certificate is tied to the site, covers six process stages and lasts three years.

Neither standard restricts certification by nationality. The certificate follows the plant, the audit happens where you produce, and the person responsible for bonding may sit in Europe. What is usually missing is not eligibility — it is a technical counterpart inside the EU.

What we can measure

Four techniques answer most of the questions that stop a production decision. Each one is run in our own laboratory, so the turnaround is ours to commit to.

DSC

Has it fully cured? Glass transition, melting, residual enthalpy and degree of cure. The technique that settles arguments about cure cycles.

TGA

Up to what temperature can I use it? Thermal stability, decomposition, filler and volatile content — and whether a supplier has quietly changed the formulation.

DMA

How does it behave under load, hot and cold? Storage and loss modulus, damping and service temperature range of the cured adhesive or polymer.

Metallography

What does the joint look like inside? Cross-sections, bond line, porosity, coating thickness and the failure mode after a test.

Where we come from

SUEN grew out of the paper industry: coating, drying, energy consumption and the behaviour of consumables on the machine. That applied habit runs through everything else.
